Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible in a modern AWS environment with a focus on Kubernetes, Linux, NGINX and Tomcat
- Drive and document Root Cause Analysis of problems experienced
- Communicate and coordinate with the development team as well as senior management to facilitate production setup, deployment and support
- Partner with the development team to deploy updates and improve platform reliability
- Continually review new technology that can be implemented within the company
Requirements
Minimum
- Solid experience with AWS, Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with Kubernetes environments such as Amazon EKS
- Experience in Linux systems administration
- 5+ consecutive years in a DevOps Engineering or similar position
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with UNIX scripting, Python, Bash, etc.
- Experience with configuring Linux server applications such as NGINX or MySQL
- Experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining java application frameworks in a high-availability, high-traffic environment
- Knowledge of, or experience in, certifications such as SOC2 or FedRAMP
Also nice if you have
- Experience with development in Java/Tomcat or NodeJS
- Experience with SQL writing queries and/or optimizing MySQL
- Experience in Server Administration with Windows Server
- Experience with non-AWS cloud providers: Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
- BA/BS degree; Computer Engineering or Computer Science
