About the Role:

The VP of Sales is an essential member of sales leadership for inMusic. This role is the face of inMusic and is responsible for managing key relationships for inMusic, leading an innovative sales team, spearheading product sales strategy, and driving the evolution of sales tactics for the company. As a VP of Sales at inMusic, you will be expected to be analytical, strategic, organized, collaborative, communicative, and be an energized representation of inMusic’s mission and values with our customers.

Sales Management:

  • Monthly Sales Goal Achievement: Focus all energy and efforts towards achieving the monthly global sales goal, employing effective strategies and initiatives.
  • Accurate Product Projections: Ensure accurate product sales projections by analyzing market trends, customer demands, and sales data to forecast future sales.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Provide clear direction and comprehensive sales training to the sales team and partner with global leadership to foster a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Promotional Effectiveness: Oversee sales promotions, evaluating their effectiveness and success, and making data-driven decisions to optimize future promotions.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Ensure prompt sell-through of slow-moving and end-of-life products, implementing clearance strategies and collaborating with marketing teams to minimize excess inventory.
  • Competitive Pricing: Monitor and analyze market trends to ensure our products are competitively priced, maximizing profitability while remaining attractive to customers.
  • New Product Introductions: Collaborate with product development amp; marketing departments to conduct informative sessions for sales employees through platforms like TEAMS calls, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of product features and benefits.
  • Sales Team Evolution: Regularly assess the sales team's performance and make strategic changes to enhance efficiency and productivity, aligning the team with evolving market demands and company goals.

Dealer/Distributor Relations:

  • Executive Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with key executives of dealer/distributor partners, fostering trust, collaboration, and mutual growth.
  • Channel Partner Management: Ensure the selection and maintenance of the right channel partners across various product categories, evaluating their performance and alignment with the company's values and objectives.
  • Visionary Strategy: Develop a forward-thinking vision for how products will be sold in distribution and retail channels, anticipating market shifts and consumer preferences to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis and collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for expanding the dealer/distributor network, ensuring comprehensive coverage in key markets.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with partners, finalize agreements, and manage contracts to establish mutually beneficial terms that drive sales growth and brand presence.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership and achieving sales targets in a multinational context within the music instruments industry
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior
  • Proficiency in using sales and CRM software for data analysis and decision-making
  • Ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and lead teams through periods of growth and transformation
