Snap-Tite Hose, a leading manufacturer and supplier of firefighting, agricultural, and industrial hoses, is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to join our team. As a Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting in coordinating purchases, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our company. The starting rate for this position is $17/hr.

Responsibilities
- Obtain price quotes for commodity goods as directed by strategic purchasing.
- Issue PO releases for materials as instructed based on planner supplied reports and other materials planning resources
- Obtain and execute purchase requisitions from the various plant offices for office supplies, janitorial supplies, and other non-raw material items
- Work with operations, maintenance, and engineering to issue purchase orders for items needed by these departments
- Work with accounts payable to code purchases according to the expense account to which they relate
- Record incoming non-raw-material receipts against purchase orders as they are fulfilled by suppliers
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize e tasks
- Good communication skills
- Effectively collaborate in cross functional and team environment.
- Good understanding of product costing and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing systems and processes.
- Must be able to travel to alternate plant location a minimum of one time per week based on company needs.
Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
- Knowledge of inventory management software (MRP systems) is a plus
- Previous experience in purchasing or inventory management a plus
