Job Summary/Position Objective

We're looking for a Manager, Solutions Consulting to join our team. As our Manager, Solutions Consulting you will be responsible for leading a team of Solutions Consultants to promote the value and differentiation of MessageGears products and services to enterprise-level buyers with a diverse range of needs, challenges and organizational complexities. You’re most likely to be successful in this role if you are obsessed with understanding and solving customer problems, an exceptional storyteller, and have demonstrated quantifiable success in using your skills to move deals through the funnel.

Full line reports: 3 Solutions Consultants

Scope:
  • Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
  • Complexity: Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
  • Supervision: Manages the coordination of the activities of a section with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
  • Interaction: Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, and other cross-company leadership (gtm, it/product, cs) normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
Essential Duties / Functions Order from most important to least.
  • Build and manage the Solutions Consulting playbook to support new logo acquisition and upsell/cross-sell buying journeys from discovery to close
  • Serve as a technical and domain expert, participating in discovery sessions to ask qualifying questions and understand pain points, current business processes and ideal future state
  • Showcase your technical expertise, enterprise selling and storytelling acumen and creative talents by building and delivering bespoke demos to executives, stakeholders, and key influencers
  • Lead a team of Solutions Consultants, acting as both an individual contributor and as a mentor and coach to your team
  • Drive responses for Request for Information and Request for Proposals (RFIs and RFPs)
  • Stay up to date on MessageGears solutions, competitive products, and market/buyer intelligence that will help you successfully position MessageGears to show value in RFPs and Demos
  • Manage our demo environment and oversee demo data to support the speed of demo creation and excellence in bespoke demoing
  • Help shape the future direction of our software by sharing customer feedback with Product amp; Engineering teams and helping them translate the feedback into features that delight customers
  • Support sales team enablement, share and learn best practices, and create re-usable assets to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team
  • Assist with post-sale handoff to our Customer Success team
  • Conduct all business in accordance with MessageGears policies and procedures

Education and Experience Desired:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 7+ years of direct experience with a Bachelor’s degree;.
  • Must have been an individual contributor SC/SE who was commission-based and exceeded their targets
  • Strongly prefer someone who has successfully built-up an SC/SE function for their company
