IMPORTANT DETAILS
- This role is based in Hudson, New Hampshire, and you will be working on-site on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with occasional trips to our Boston workplace.

YOUR OBJECTIVE
You ensure the financial operations at Life is Good are conducted accurately, ethically, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You contribute to the financial well-being of the organization by providing insights, analyses, and recommendations to support our financial goals and strategic direction.
YOUR JOB
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Team Management
- Lead the Finance team to resolve issues and streamline processes in the following functions: Credit and Collections, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, Financial Reporting
Financial Reporting
- Deliver accurate and timely preparation and analysis of the Life is Good financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Distribute monthly financial reports to the VP of Finance (for review and approval), management, and investors
- Manage all financial GL activities, including but not limited to posting monthly GL, A/P, Payroll, and Expensify entries with accuracy in LIG’s ERP system
- Ensure a good monthly cutoff of revenue and expenses
- Ensure internal controls are established and followed
- Maintain constant awareness of the Life is Good financial position and act to prevent problems and/or elevate to the VP of Finance
Compliance Audit
- Manage annual financial audit/review by outside accounting firm
- Manage other audits such as 401K audit, sales tax, workers compensation
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
- Audit payroll processes quarterly to ensure accurate financial calculations.
Budget and Forecasting
- Support the Budget and Inventory Director in preparating the quarterly financial forecasts and annual budget
Cash Management
- Manage all cash flow for the company and structure it to pay down debt as quickly as possible
- Report to the VP of Finance on Life is Good cash flow position and weekly forecast over the next two quarters
Other
- Prepare monthly commission reporting to the Wholesale representative force
- Collaborate with team and current insurance brokers and new bidders on the renewal of property, casualty, general liability, and workers compensation policies
- Prepare monthly and quarterly royalty reporting to Licensors

Requirements
Your Experience and Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with a CPA or a Masters Degree in Finance
