Job Description
Working with the Senior Manager of Residuals, the Residuals Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day and recurring responsibilities of the Residuals department. The main focus of this role will be the setup and processing of periodic residuals for entertainment clients.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be interpreting and analyzing payroll and distribution data to calculate residuals obligations in accordance with various guilds, unions and production service agreements. Additionally, you will calculate, prepare and process residuals for clients with various types of Entertainment Products in an effective, efficient and timely manner. You will also help in the testing of a new state of the art residuals system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Forecast, set-up, pay and process residual liabilities for clients.
- Analyze and interpret production data and agreements to setup residuals products.
- Work with Collection Account Management Companies to process CAMA residuals
- Participate in the testing and implementation process of new systems related to process improvements, efficiency, and standardization.
- Assist in collecting documentation for guild audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Requirements
- BA/BS in accounting, finance, business administration or similar degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of related experience required, preferably in residuals.
- Entertainment industry experience preferred.
- Residuals document preparation, processing and reporting experience.
- Knowledge of residual guild agreements.
- Must be able to comprehend and interpret collective bargaining agreements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent Excel, Microsoft Office amp; Google web based program skills.
- Highly motivated, analytical, proactive, organized and self-sufficient.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work independently and team up with various divisions and departments.
- New Media residuals experience is a plus.
