Snap-Tite Hose, a leading manufacturer of high-quality fire, agricultural, and industrial hoses, is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Cost Analyst, you will support decisions by analyzing data and providing managers with insightful costing information. You will also be responsible for managing expenditures by looking for cost-efficient solutions to inefficiency problems

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop expense, budget, and supply chain reports for management and forecast cost-related changes and risks.
- Costs vs. Profits: measure fixed and variable costs to determine profit margins.
- Refine Supply Chain Costs: analyze items in organizations' supply chains to understand their expenditures and identify inefficiencies.
- Assist with Pricing Strategies: help create reasonable, profitable pricing decisions.
- Develop Budgets: help develop spending budgets for various departments and use cost analysis to create accurate projections and control spending.
- Support Business Decisions: integrate cost analysis and other information to provide crucial data on inventory control, activity-based costing, and operational performance.
- Enterprise Resource Planning System: incorporate inventory control, cost analysis, and multilevel costing categories.
- Data Analysis: draw useful insights from raw data and the ability to quantify what happens, why it happens, what will happen, and how to respond to these outcomes.
- Variance Analysis: track and analyze differences between what things typically cost (standard cost) and what they actually cost.
- Journal entries: provide accurate and up-to-date information about the financial position and maintain accurate and complete records of financial transactions.
- Ledger reconciliations: verify the completeness and reliability of the account balances recorded on the general ledger.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Competency Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate well in English.
- Excellent skills are required in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Must have a strong ability to grasp managerial and financial concepts.
