Mindex’s Cloud Services division is a dedicated group of cloud experts with extensive knowledge of workloads on AWS and Azure. We are an AWS Advanced Services Partner, and specialize in cloud-native application development, application modernization, cloud managed services, cloud migration, big data, and analytics.

The Software Engineering Lead position is responsible for collaborating with engineering and delivery teams to ensure the successful release, deployment, and operation of high-quality software solutions. In this role, the Software Engineering Lead will provide oversight and guidance to other Software Engineers within their team to drive innovative solutions, elevate technology, and consistently apply best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to their team of approximately five -seven Software Engineers with varying skill levels. Help define what skills the team requires and be a talent multiplier that motivates the team to excel and perform.
  • Mentor Software Engineers and coach others to promote communication and emotional maturity.
  • Give feedback on a regular basis via structured coaching 1:1s to facilitate personal and professional growth. Provide feedback on performance during the annual performance appraisal process.
  • Model various business processes using common modeling languages to visualize the system and create views of subsystems; create various diagrams, flowcharts, and models that illustrate current, proposed, or ideal architecture.
  • Responsible for the solutions developed by a team of engineers to support the defined business needs while ensuring application of quality development practices.
  • Ensuring that the solutions defined within the scope of work meet the customer requirements and align with organizational goals.
  • Build technical and non-technical relationships inside of their team, across Mindex delivery teams and with Customer stakeholders.
  • Responsible for understanding and managing team member performance.
  • Investigate new technologies and processes where relevant.
  • Mentor team members to ensure they can perform all tasks associated with their role.

Requirements

  • AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and five - 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Five -10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with Cloud computing concepts and experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET(MVC amp; Core)
  • Familiarity with .NET Framework 4.8.1 amp; .NET 6
  • Familiarity with SQL Server on RDS
  • Familiarity with the following AWS services:
    • Fargate (Windows and Linux)
    • Windows on EC2
    • Lambdas with API Gateway
    • SNS, SQS and S3-based message brokering
    • SAM / CloudFormation

The salary range for this role is $105,000 - $155,000 and represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
