Our partner is seeking a Shipping amp; Receiving Coordinator in Houston, TX. The role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring reliable transportation. The position reports to the Director of Exhibition amp; Facilities and requires prior experience in packing, shipping, and receiving.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving and inventory processes for project assets at the Houston site.
- Catalog information, perform data entry, and maintain impeccable organization.
- Manage and organize storage facilities and receiving areas, ensuring knowledge of asset locations.
- Track, unpack, examine, and store incoming shipments.
- Coordinate and implement regular, time-sensitive, and product-sensitive deliveries.
- Collaborate with various teams to find creative solutions to logistical challenges.
- Track project timelines for logistics, packing, shipping, and storage preparation.
- Collaborate with Retail Managers on Loss Prevention measures.
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks, utilizing tools and materials safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate custom packing for various projects.
- Provide shipping support company-wide as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Manager, or similar role.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving practices, inventory management, and safety procedures.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Forklift and heavy equipment operating experience with current certifications.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and handle sensitive tasks accurately and confidently.
- Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:- Work Environment: In a facility with loud noises, adjacent to project testing areas.
- Physical Demands: Occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds, occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Work Schedule: Full-time with occasional evening and weekend work based on business needs.
