Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment.

Primary Duties:

  • Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise or material according to specifications.
  • Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material.
  • Inspect for damage. Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
  • Transport materials to shipping area.
  • Arrange for the transportation of products.
  • Maintain records, input data, and create reports using inventory software/database. Maintains records of all items received and shipped.
  • Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; check against suppliers count and immediately report discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing per company policy.
  • Verify and record all items loaded for shipments.
  • Maintain database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to finance or other associated departments as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum education of High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using ERP Software preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse distribution area and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Other Requirements:

  • This is an on-site position. Must be available to work at the 900 Mount Laurel Circle, Shirley, MA location.
  • Must be a US Person.
