Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Develop and test end-to-end data analytics, data warehouse, machine learning, and reporting applications to power our education software.
  • Understand data services and analytics needs across the organization and work on machine learning and data analytics infrastructure.
  • Build data processing pipelines to process historical performance information to come up with predictive and analytical machine learning models to develop new features and insightful reports.
  • Develop and maintain detailed reports and dashboards based on the data processed through the machine learning models, the data warehouse, and the databases for the stakeholders.
  • Design and develop data and machine learning models, schema, connectors, transformations, data flow pipelines, and data warehouse storage.
  • Articulate design and algorithms using schema charts, flow charts, and design documentation.
  • Develop and build a data warehouse which extracts and aggregates data from multiple content sources including social media, CRM, web services, flat-file stores, and databases.
  • Build data marts and integrations with appropriate destination data sources to provide the data to consumers of the machine learning results.
  • Use Python, machine learning libraries, Databricks, PL/SQL, Apache Nifi, and other programming languages as appropriate, for data loading, transformations, and machine learning models.
  • Build reports using legacy SQL stored procedures or Tableau as required.
  • Develop, modify, and test algorithms that can be used in scripts to store, locate, cleanse, verify, validate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.
  • Validate and process all data communication between clients (applications) and server to ensure data integrity and retrieval using RDBMS and/or JSON objects.
  • Ensure the data provided is highly accurate after performing appropriate quality checks.
  • Develop REST and/or SOAP services to provide interactive experience for end users with real-time data related to test preparation and e-commerce activities.
  • Work with QA engineers to ensure quality and reliability by process of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and subject-matter experts in maintaining existing reports, applications, tools, and data warehouse solutions and to build new application prototypes.
  • Create sample report templates/prototypes for new/future products.
  • Collaborate with product leads, product owners, QA team, and customer care team to drive new enhancements or fix bugs in a timely manner.
  • Involved in discussions related to new business insights, predictions, statistical analysis, reports, and extracts development for future products or related web portals.
  • Be up to date on the industry standard practices on big data and analytics and adopt solutions to the data warehousing platform.
  • Use of Python, R, Java, Data Lake, SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB), Tableau, and PowerBI.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year in a related occupation including Data Analyst or related experience.
  • Position requires 1 year of experience with either R or Python and either Tableau or PowerBI. 40hrs/week.
