Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Environmental Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of an Environmental Engineer in Akron, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of codes and regulations to assist clients with NPDES permits management.
- Development of individual and general EPA NPDES discharge permits
- Coordination with government agencies
- Utilizing water quality-based models to establish pollutant limitations in NPDES Permits
- Evaluation, design, and optimization of stormwater and wastewater treatment systems
- Familiarity with stormwater regulations and permitting requirements.
Requirements
- A registered Professional Engineer is preferred, but individuals with their EIT certification or a high level of experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in surface water environmental permitting and engineering.
- Water quality modeling and design of treatment systems experience a plus.
- Have the proven ability to solve problems and troubleshoot in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment.
- Project management experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task regularly in a fast-paced environment with multiple changes; accepting responsibility for critical work products amp; meeting tight deadlines required.
