Purpose of Job Role

  • Drive publicity for TOCA Soccer (primarily) and TOCA Social with media amp; influencers, managing implementation of campaigns and press office activity for both the TOCA brand and in particular, TOCA Soccer centers
  • Drive coverage that attracts investors and consumers dependent on the news/campaign
  • Lead the day-to-day development and delivery of creative communications campaigns (with end-to-end ownership for identified initiatives) for TOCA Soccer
  • Execute on the global corporate communication strategy in market set by the VP of Global Communications
  • Work in partnership with both VP of Global Communications and relevant global marketing leads to create innovative and integrated campaigns/programs that drive business goals and ROI
  • Partner with the broader marketing team to ensure locally PR driven campaigns are fully leveraged across all channels. Build relationships across the business to help maximise campaign success, specifically for TOCA Soccer
  • Drive media amp; influencer relations in the US and partner with local TOCA centers to execute local media outreach across the region
  • Manage (with support from VP of Global Communications) local PR agencies and local talent agents
  • Work closely with global colleagues to ensure that global campaigns are optimised in the US

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow contacts with the media and influencer space, always looking for new opportunities for TOCA
  • Deliver publicity across a range of media titles from national to local with the aim of securing coverage in both business and consumer titles (depending on news/campaign)
  • Help oversee PR agency and ensure they are briefed and delivering against business objectives
  • Help define media and influencer strategy around specific campaigns and initiatives to deliver the best possible results
  • Create compelling media materials to help drive coverage across a range of publications with a thought to content for social channels
  • Ensure key soccer calendar moments form part of the communication strategy and implement accordingly
  • Help define media and influencer strategy around specific campaigns and initiatives to deliver the best possible results
  • Oversee the execution of campaigns to support local marketing efforts for all TOCA Soccer centers and any brand campaigns (both local and Global). Help create local toolkits that are easy or local center GMs to implement
  • Present plans to key stakeholders to ensure all activity is maximised across the business from marketing to strategy teams
  • Pre-empt potential problem areas and flag concerns to VP of Global Communications and Global marketing leads and offer appropriate solutions in order to minimise risks
  • Supervise the creation of assets and help to localise global assets
  • Write and ensure the appropriate distribution of press releases, oversee press releases with agencies and devise strategy per activity (including the option for wire distribution)
  • Work with VP of Global Communications to ensure that the team is working to budget
  • Identify key business opportunities and work with agency on award submissions and attendance and speaker opportunities at relevant conferences
  • Drive media coverage and social conversation for TOCA partnerships including but not limited to MLS partnership, Harry Kane, Leah Williamson and US players (TBC)
  • Maintain excellent media relationships (both consumer and corporate) and liaise with senior journalists to deliver on message coverage and manage the media agenda as appropriate
  • Monitor brand landscape for potential issues and help to develop crisis communications statements when needed
