ENGAGEMENT:
Contract position (1099). Six months with a view to extend. This role is primarily based ONSITEin downtown Houston. However, must be willing to travel.
OVERVIEW:
We are looking to hire a skilled Network Engineer to join an established team, that supports one of our major customers. The team requires bolstering as they are currently engaged in a divestment. A fantastic opportunity to be a part of a new organization and to be immersed in the fast paced world of mergers and acquisitions.
Requirements
We are currently in the throes of a divestment project and are looking for a Network Engineer that will assist our architects with design, implementation, maintenance, and support of new and existing network infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintains network performance
- Build net configurations and connections
- Troubleshoot network problems
- IP address auditing
- Establish networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation
- Define, documents, and enforces system standards
- Maximize performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades
- Configure routers
- Update data servers and network equipment
- Collaborate with network architects on network optimization
- Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
· Can do, delivery focused attitude
· CCNA
· CCNP
· 1-5+ years of Network Engineering experience
· BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
· Strong communications skills
· Highly customer focused
· Highly motivated, self-reliant, problem solver

· Strong problem-solving abilities
· Ability to make rational decisions under pressure
· Proven ability to work within a team
· Cisco Routing and Switching Exposure
· Cisco ASA Experience
· O365 Experience
· AD Experience amp; Intune Experience
· Azure Exposure
· VPN Support
· Fortinet Exposure
· Implementation Experience
BENEFICIAL BUT NOT REQUIRED
· Mergers and acquisitions experience
· Implementation of new networks
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS
Location: Downtown Houston
Hours: 40 hours per week
Model: Onsite. Must be willing to travel. Various US states.
Start Date: 2nd January 2024
Engagement: 1099
Pay Rate: $75-$95 per hour depending on experience
