Requirements

The Program Manager is an important strategic role in ALL,SPACE that drives programs to a successful conclusion, guiding the project teams to achieve and exceed clearly defined business goals, anticipating delays whilst developing mitigation strategies and reporting on program metrics of scope, schedule, cost and risk.

Responsibility for partnering closely with cross functional stakeholders to ensure activities remain on track with progress and status communicated across the organisation in a transparent manner and ensuring responsibilities, accountabilities are well understood across the teams.

They will be expected to manage simultaneous programs that transition our cutting-edge technology into successful programs (involving both internal and external stakeholders), as well as internal infrastructure programs as appropriate.

As part of this position, the individual will support ALL.SPACE into the next phase of our corporate growth strategy to successfully execute complex Programs with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other U.S. Civilian and Federal Government business by way of thorough planning, prioritisation, risk mitigation, status reporting and good Program Management practices.

The role is based in the US with reporting functionally into the Program Management Office (PMO) in the UK and into the USG Team working closely with other functional heads together with Sales and Business Development, Operations, Product and Quality Assurance, Sales Solutions Engineering and Engineering.

This role also includes internal product development cycles in relation to terminals for satellite communications for military context, company infrastructure projects, Customer engagements and external funding activities; for programs that are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • U.S. Govt Security Clearance or ability to obtain the necessary Security Clearances as needed.
  • Drive and Manage programs to conclusion/delivery in a consistent, structured and controlled manner.
  • Provide effective leadership of multiple program teams. Drawing in functional expertise as needed and creating alignment of all program resources to achieve a successful outcome. Leading from the front, setting an example, building effective relationships and getting results.
  • Define, Initiate, Maintain a plan (or multiple plans) including: PID/PDD, Schedule, Budget, RAID Log amp; Resource Plan.
  • Collation and aggregation of work-stream/work-package reporting and production of associated program reports in line with the agreed cadence.
  • Production and management of exception reports and escalations in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ability to plan, schedule and manage multiple programs to a successful conclusion. Work with functional heads, Supply Chain and Customer Teams to deliver results that ensure timely and predictable delivery of programs.
  • Assess actual performance against plan, manage and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and escalate risks to delivery in advance. Lead cross-functional efforts to mitigate risk, develop contingency plans, or adjust program scope, resources, or time lines as needed. Negotiate with and/or influence team stakeholders to resolve program level challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for acceleration, mitigation and recovery, providing the business with viable options to reduce schedule, cost or increase capability.
  • Manage program scope and deliverables through a structured change management process to ensure Customer expectations are met whilst protecting corporate objectives. Manage change control through planning and communication as requirements and priorities shift.
  • Use of Corporate tools and processes to provide effective status updating to the business, by supporting an established drumbeat of data collection and distribution.
