In our Engineering Technical Lead role, you will have the opportunity to share that expertise more broadly in a way that will benefits other engineers and technical personnel, projects, project teams, and clients. Our Engineering Technical Lead role for water and wastewater treatment plant engineering combines the elements of a technical design lead and a quality assurance leader, with a focus on technical training and development of staff.

  • Wide experience in the design and construction of:
    • municipal wastewater treatment facilities
    • municipal drinking water treatment and production facilities
  • Interest and ability to mentor engineering staff on a wide variety of technical concepts

Quiddity Engineering’s 150+ person water/wastewater related team focuses on a wide array of water amp; wastewater project types (new, expansion, rehabilitation, replacement) and sizes up to 100 MGD across the State of Texas:

  • Water Conveyance new and rehab water lines up to 108 diameter
  • Water Treatment groundwater plants, water wells, surface water treatment plants. Currently, specializing in facilities up to 20 MGD
  • Wastewater Collection new and rehab of sanitary sewer lines up to 72 diameter
  • Wastewater Treatment process analysis, wastewater treatment plants, sludge processing facilities, reclaimed water systems. Currently, specializing in facilities up to 20 MGD
  • Pump amp; Lift Stations sanitary lift stations, potable water pump stations, storm water pump stations up to 95 MGD
  • Electrical amp; Instrumentation low and medium power supply, monitoring, and controls for water amp; wastewater facilities, lighting design, generators, SCADA development, PLC programming
  • Construction Management amp; Inspection full time oversight of contractors working on public water amp; wastewater facilities that average total $400M in aggregate
  • Municipal Permitting: TPDES permitting, MS4 program development and management, industrial user pretreatment program development and management
  • Water amp; Wastewater modeling amp; planning development of systemwide models to support development of CIPs and Master Plans
  • Water District Management supporting 100 water districts across Texas; consultation, utility extensions, sidewalks, parks, CIP development

Requirements

  • Mentoring and training of staff on technical aspects of treatment processes, engineering processes, and construction methods
  • Collaborating with project managers and technical design leaders; assisting project managers with technical solutions and innovation in design and construction
  • Conducting quality control reviews of reports, calculations, and construction contract documents
  • Shared responsibility for the oversight and execution of Quiddity's Quality Management Program and execution within the Water / Wastewater practice
  • Working on design reports, feasibility studies, field assessments, preliminary engineering reports, detailed design and preparation of construction contract documents, construction administration, field project representation, construction management
  • Providing oversight and management of project risks, claims and change orders
  • Assisting and collaborating with the Business Development team across the Quiddity business areas
  • Presenting internally and externally; participating in public meetings and proposal interviews
  • Supporting client engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas; or able to obtain license within 6 months
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in municipal water and wastewater facilities treatment plant design
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels; ability to speak and present publicly
  • Well-versed in water and wastewater regulations
  • Ability to travel within the Quiddity business areas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and BLUEBEAM or equivalent
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to provide sponsorship for employment visa status at this time
