Job Description

Ghost Robot is currently reviewing applications for a contract Producer position for Q1-Q3 of 2024.

As a Producer at Ghost Robot you will be responsible for managing the execution of complex projects from discovery through delivery, including but not limited to project estimate, project scheduling, resourcing, budget management, managing team workflow, risk mitigation and client relationship building and maintenance. The Producer is an experienced and adaptable individual who can direct various sized teams and partner with internal and external production partners. The Producer will be extremely detail-oriented and be accountable for all aspects of their projects, while being aware of the strategic and creative objectives. In addition to the fundamental producer skills listed below, being on the Production team requires solid critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as a passion for guiding creative ideas from brief through project launch. The ideal candidate for this position will have an ambition for work that pushes creative and technological limits and experience in delivering a variety of integrated projects completed on time, within budget and to the highest level of creative standards. You will be a key player in bringing all our projects to life and giving our clients a reason to come back and do it again.

Day-to-day Responsibilities include:

  • Independently manage and deliver multiple complex projects for various types of productions.
  • Responsible for excellence in all day-to-day aspects of production and post-production.
  • Ability to be creative in execution/budgetary approach.
  • Act as the leader and communication hub for all communications with internal and external partners, and help the team prioritize as circumstances change.
  • Clear understanding of budgeting software (including ShowBiz Budgeting) and management of budgets.
  • Solutions-oriented and collaborative with the ability to communicate clearly and proactively with clients, internal departments, and agency/studio leaders.
  • Ensure error free, on time and on/under budget productions all while meeting or exceeding creative objectives and expectations.
  • Proactively identify and propose/implement solutions to any potential project challenges
  • Management of changes to your project and ability to efficiently revise timeline, team priorities and estimates as needed.
  • Having plentiful, good-standing relationships with production contacts in the industry
  • Responsible for building and maintaining critical relationships as well as agency's reputation and standard of excellence with the internal and external production industry.
  • Negotiate contracts and competitive rates with vendors, to both ensure projects deliver on/under budget and within schedule constraints while managing relationships to ensure quality of work.
  • Coordinating vendor payments with Accounting team.
  • Possessing a complete understanding of contractual agreements between agency, vendors and talent. Working with GR team to negotiate and manage talent and vendor contracts.
  • Ensuring that all necessary contracts/releases are obtained, and that projects are in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Overseeing on-set production when applicable, and interaction between agency/studio and client teams.
  • Managing post-production schedules and timely delivery of all final assets (with clear tracking all assets for delivery to the client).
  • Working closely with creative team ensure that the final product is aligned with project goals and expectations.
  • Ensuring that GR process is followed for all projects, and flag when a new process needs to be established.
  • Set the tone for a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years producing for a creative studio or Agency.
  • Strong project management skills, with extensive experience in managing budgets, timelines, and external vendors for projects across video, print and digital content.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be prompt, positive, and responsible. Ability to demand respect from clients, and other key stakeholders within the organization, while maintaining a desire to remain close to the work. Willingness to execute the work, along with manage.
