ASSISTANT DELIVERY MANAGER

Job Duties:

· Host daily meetings with the delivery team to ensure everyone is following 1915 South policy procedures before deliveries. DOT Compliance and Safety regulations are to be met daily

· You are required to keep detailed records in the

· Required to fill in as a driver if needed in emergencies to complete routes in any of our locations

· Train current employees and new hires as needed, while working with the Train the Trainer program at the local distribution center; this will require travel and overnight stays

· Create a truck washing schedule to include demountable boxes and trucks

· Audit timecards weekly for accuracy for the delivery teams of your location

· Following up on in-home damages, processing claims, and writing reports

· Ensure trucks are properly organized and detailed (time windows, fuel, and traffic patterns)

· Will conduct weekly ride behinds to ensure the team is working properly.

· Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing delivery teams, and strategic and organizational development, including the ability to attract, develop, and retain best-in-class talent

  • Availability to work morning shifts, evening shifts, and weekends and travel to other Distribution Centers to assist if needed, as determined by the Director
  • Candidate must pass a credit check, background check, motor vehicle records, DOT physical, and a drug test
