Job Description

The Business Development Military Liaison's role is to identify installations within the US and abroad who would benefit from our services.

  • Educate referral sources on service lines.
  • Build relationships and problem solve with the referral sources to ensure their needs and those of the patient are met.
  • Should be able to discuss military protocols, assist with coordination of admissions and discharges in order to build census.
  • A key part of the job is identifying new possible referral sources.
  • Must be able to travel 3+ days a week in the USA and abroad.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships and be available to referral sources 24/7.
  • Will assist in executing strategic plans for growth with SABHH.
  • Ensures strategic branding.
  • Promotes and motivates marketing and other key staff in referral and admission development.
  • Prepares and makes program presentations to agencies, prospective referral sources, local community officials and other influential key to the success of defined community liaisons programs.
  • Monitors referral/admission/discharge statistics and analysis to integrate required plan adjustments with marketing.
  • Ensure that administration maintain up to-date key account records including background, contact history, objectives, referral trends, etc.
  • Ability to develop an adequate knowledge of State, Federal and other regulatory requirements related to the facility.
  • Maintain up-to-date information, as needed, on specifically assigned competitors including pricing, census, product information, and marketing strategies.
  • Review Intake activity and daily to discuss adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor competitive activity and report to team members and leadership.
  • Participates in intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities directed at improving communication, coordination, and quality patient care.
  • Initiate census recovery plans as needed.
  • Maintain account list.
  • Establishes good rapport and communicates well with persons inquiring about facility services.
  • Provides customer services to referral sources.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Clinical Program or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree, High School Diploma required.
  • Military experience a plus.
  • Two years' experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strategic problem solving with ability to adopt to change and /or uncertainty.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Continuously strives to meet/exceed goals.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Attention to detail and understands market trends.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Able to work autonomously or as a member of a team.
  • Must be proactive in identifying resource and problem solving.
