Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity for a Studio Manager to join our team in Miami leading efforts for our Industrial Cold and Food Studio.
Ware Malcomb is an industry leader in the Industrial Cold and Food sector, having designed facilities for innovative clients across regions firmwide. We understand the complex requirements of cold building construction, whether ground-up or renovation. We follow developments in refrigeration systems, materials handling, and fire suppression systems so we can best advise our clients on an integrated design approach.
As Studio Manager, you will be a key leader, responsible for supporting the Principal or Director in the areas of growth, revenue, profitability, project management, design, staff management, and client relationships. You will be responsible for nurturing a positive, team-oriented environment, ensuring financial goals and deadlines are being met, and assisting the office leader in business development.Responsibilities
- Oversee projects for the Industrial Cold and Food Studio
- Lead, mentor, and train staff
- Responsible for new project proposals and overall financial health of projects
- Assist in responding to RFQ/RFPs and participate in business development efforts
- Manage client relationships and actively pursue additional and new business
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience within the field of Architecture with at least 2 years at the PM or Senior PM level
- Experience working in any of the following project types: Cold Storage, Food Processing and Production Facilities, Cold Laboratories, Cold Medical and Pharmaceuticals
- Proposals Experience
- Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership role
- Licensed Architect
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field
