This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Part-Time Badger Central Bookstore and Cafe Assistant who will be all-in on our mission and who will be responsible for the preparation of food and beverages on a daily basis while maintaining cleanliness and other food safety standards. Executes all aspects of the role while following local, state, and federal guidelines for food preparation and safety.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or GED and must be 18 years of age or older.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: One (1) year of previous experience working in a customer service environment.
Preferred: Previous experience in a coffee shop, food service establishment, or café environment.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Required: Food Handlers Certification (or complete training during initial 90 days).

Salary: Amarillo College - Salary Schedules (actx.edu), Pay grade 3 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel and bend most of the day. Will require lifting 40-50 pounds often.
Working Environment: This position works in a professional café food service environment as well as college bookstore. Must be able to work in Amarillo and offsite locations in and out of the area.
