Technical Project Manager

In this position, you will act as a bridge between business problems and technology solutions. You will work as a liaison between the business units and IT department’s Data team by identifying customer needs and translating those needs into workable solutions.

  • Routinely perform cross-functional/technical responsibilities to analyze Employee Experience Support/Network/Cloud/ and Process inefficiencies.
  • Support the team to define mainly technical requirements around network, clouds and other infrastructure support items, identify and recommend solutions to those problems.
  • Use SQL Server, Visual Studio and other development tools to support the development team and fulfill Ad-Hoc request.
  • Be responsible to work with the leads or director to manage team backlog, write the stories and help plan quarterly goals to manage key initiatives for scope, schedule, resource allocations and risks.
  • Apply agile scrum methodology to organize and utilize organizational assets and the application of best practices.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop technical requirements for infrastructure related work such as Network, Clouds, Employee Experience (tickets submitted by employees) and other items that may involve vendors to render solutions for in house operations and processes.
  • Translate information requests from internal customers involving ambiguity into actionable tasks for engineers.
  • Gather and document business/technical requirements(Jira stories), systems flow, data flow, data dependencies and functional design.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, solution analysis, project kickoffs, standups, refinement, sprint planning, retrospective, and status meetings.
  • Manage inbound request queue, prioritize requests, and communicate status.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis by creating ad-hoc reports/queries using SQL.
  • Actively manage Scrum/or Kanban boards to manage operational and project related infrastructure work.
  • Create and manage project plans for long running initiatives and coordinate with team day to day progress.
  • Track and report work status for team, people assignments and work completion.
  • Provide project status reports and executive summaries as required.
  • Own and manage the change management and release management process..
  • Supports IT team governance, audit and controls process.
