Job Description

Amare's Operations team is looking for a Demand Planner to join the team. This person's primary responsibility is to deliver high product-availability levels globally while maintain product quality, cost, and delivery and minimizing COGs through effective inventory management techniques, supplier relationship and PO management efforts, and the use of analytics to identify trends and anticipate needs.

What you’ll own:

  • Develop SKU-level operational forecasts and short- and long-term supply plans
  • Play a key role in monthly Samp;OP development and work closely with the internal sales team key customer representatives in the development of the collaborative forecast
  • Analyze inventory levels, open POs, demand streams, and lead times to issue timely POs, maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Assist with the continued implementation of the MRP system
  • Coordinate with 3PLs on inventory management and needs (receiving, reporting, QA holds, etc.)
  • Collaborate across teams on product needs, including forecasting to ensure company’s growth plans are achieved and financial resources are optimized across product portfolio
  • Support overall MRP health by maintaining item planning parameters, maintaining accurate delivery dates from suppliers, maintaining proper inventory levels established by leadership
  • Become a systems expert
  • Provide regular KPI reports and updates to Operations leadership staff
  • Support new product development and launches, including acquiring required product documentation and item setup
  • Verify data accuracy (parts numbers, BOMs, Part Costs) in MRP; report problems to appropriate parties
  • Identify actual and potential delivery problems and take proactive steps to inform appropriate personnel and provide low-cost solutions
  • Occasional travel 10-15%

Experience you’ll need:

  • A college degree (non-technical discipline) or
  • Multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs or
  • In-depth industry and job specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience
  • Knowledge of MRP, ERP systems logic and how to troubleshoot problems in these systems
  • Analytical skills, especially utilizing Excel formulas
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
