Summary/Objective
The Business Development Associate will primarily put in cold calls to clients day to day. You will be part of the Biopeptek Business Development Team and will support the VP of BD with any and all things related to clients. Your role will also be to be backup to Shipping/Receiving and you will also be trained on that in order to get to know our clientele and what we sell.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support client projects from project identification to successful implementation
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and industry dynamics. Through a data-driven approach, you will generate valuable insights that inform the development of tailored project plans, ensuring they are aligned with the specific requirements of prospective clients.
- Gather and analyze data on pharmaceutical products, pricing, and market demand to assess market potential and growth opportunities. Utilize data visualization and statistical tools to simplify complex data sets into clear and concise visual representations.
- Doing market research and analysis to identify relevant trade shows and conferences aligned with Biopeptek's target audience and business goals.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market response to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Monitoring project progress and managing all project aspects in cooperation with Biopeptek's internal business partners (technical, financial, legal, regulatory, etc.)
- Identifying, developing, and managing client relationships and new accounts to create or strengthen long-term relationships.
- Provide support in proposal writing

Qualifications Requirements
- Must be OK with sales cold calling and being rejected (stays motivated even when there are a lot of 'no's')
- Must be OK with lifting items per below
- And preferably, someone who would like to do grow and do their career in sales over time
Work Environment amp; Mental and Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position; move; operate and use required equipment; and reach items.
- Ability to move/transport up to 30 lbs., and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to communicate, converse with others, and exchange information

- Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
