Allied is currently looking for an individual to grind back locators for the Gen 3 product line.
Requirements
- Set-up and operate grinding machines.
- Inspect product features using relevant inspection equipment.
- Maintain and change grinding wheels and truing rolls when needed.
- Read and understand planning sheets.
- Release work orders and select correct raw materials that are needed.
- Read and understand blue prints, tolerances, and control charts.
- Troubleshoot machines.
- Conduct job transactions.
- Maintain uptime of machines to achieve productivity and quality standards.
- Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the shift.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate of equivalent.
- Completed or enrolled in apprenticeship program preferred.
Experience:
- Experience with calipers or micrometers preferred.
- Experience with control charts preferred.
Skills:
- Computer skills
- Basic understanding of blueprints
- Ability to do basic math; add and subtract negative numbers.
- Detail oriented, good planning, and organizational skills.
- Good communication.
