ADN Required; BSN, MSW, MA in related field preferred.
Intake registered nurse position. Full-Time 12- hour shifts; must have weekend availability on a rotating basis or regular schedule.
Responsibilities include; completing intake assessments for patients who arrive to the hospital, reviewing admission referrals, collaboration with local referral partners, ability to work in call center and triage crisis calls, intake of vitals, coordination of patient admissions and ability to work independently.
Must have a current CA RN license. Pre-employment background check and post-offer drug screen amp; physical required. EOE

Salary: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Minimum Work Experience
Familiarity with clinical terminology and continuum of care, Assessment and intervention skills, Persuasive manner, and skills in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment. Ability to concentrate on task in high traffic areas. Knowledge of DSM III-R diagnostic criteria with ability to deal with crisis and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional equilibrium as well as empathetically relate to people. Maintain highly confidential information while meeting deadlines. Basic data entry and computer skills required. Also be proficient in the following areas not limited to: Time management, sound organizational skills, excellent communication and customer service skills with all internal and external customers. Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health. Basic personnel management or supervisory skills helpful.
