Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Geotechnical Engineer in Chicago, IL. Please note that this position is hybrid in nature, therefore it offers flexibility in work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical design and analysis for geotechnical projects
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide solutions to clients
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments
- Prepare technical reports and proposals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage budgets and project timelines
- Undertake risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong technical foundation in soil mechanics and rock mechanics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge of geotechnical software such as Slope/W
- Familiarity with Australian design standards
