Requirements

• Maintain positivity and enthusiasm at all times
• Ensure that superior products are being served to customers
• Support staff with product knowledge and education
• Promote an excellent experience for both employees and customers
• Anticipate amp; proactively address customer and store needs
• Handle cash with flawless accuracy
• Promote team work and excellent communication within the café
• Provide on-the-job education and mentoring

Specific Duties

• Plan and execute Lead Guide throughout shift
• Maintain Shift Lead Communication Log
• Ensure kitchen and bar crews produce superior products
• Direct work flow on the floor during the shift
• Check in all deliveries and file invoices appropriately
• Ensure that side work and Hot Corners are addressed each shift
• Provide change for registers, count previous deposits, take deposit to bank, maintain back up bank
• Maintain Verve Coffee Roasters Standard on Service Product amp; Atmosphere every shift
• Assist with inventory, ordering and training as needed by management

Qualifications

• Must love coffee and have experience as a barista
• Must have training in food service
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Previous cash handling experience preferred
• Ability to work well with a team
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Flexible with the ability to multi-task in a highly demanding and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
• Availability for a minimum 30-hour work week
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
