Job Description

Human Supports of Idaho, a partner practice of Behavioral Health Solutions is hiring!

We are seeking energetic, self-driven people who are passionate about assisting individuals living with mental health and/or substance use issues at our Boise or Caldwell offices. The objective for this position is to provide support services to the Psychiatric Medication Management providers in order to ensure that the Outpatient Medication Clinics run smoothly. They are responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, managing provider schedules, preparing patients for appointments, assisting providers with requests, and performing front office tasks.

Essential Tasks and Duties

  • Manage provider schedules: schedule follow-up appointments, reschedule with patients who have cancelled appointments, no-showed appointments, or otherwise do not have a future scheduled appointment.
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications when required by insurance.
  • Consult with Pharmacies about questions regarding prescriptions.
  • Consult with laboratories to confirm lab orders and obtain documentation for providers.
  • Assist providers with vitals, injections, and patient education.
  • Track all participants with prescriptions for controlled substances and schedule random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Maintain an inventory of the samples and Long-Acting Injectable medications kept on-site.
  • Coordinate with Medication Representatives to arrange for obtaining samples and provider consultation and education opportunities.
  • Manage inventory of supplies.
  • Assist with disposal of sharps and other medical waste.
  • Cover front office while the receptionist is on break or otherwise absent

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pass an Idaho Department of Health amp; Welfare Enhanced Criminal History/Background Check and Drug Test.
  • Strong Computer Skills.
  • Positive, organized, self-driven attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems
