Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Geotechnical Engineer in Bellevue, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Exploration methods, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and laboratory testing for soil and rock;
- Experience with design, construction, and inspection of dam and levee projects;
- Design of typical geotechnical structures, such as shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, embankment and cut slopes, and ground improvement;
- An understanding of earthquake hazard evaluations, including liquefaction assessments, site-specific ground response analyses, and development of design spectra;
- Preparation of technical reports
- Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses, such as SETTLE3D, LPILE, SLIDE or SLOPE, MATHCAD, FB-Multipier, PLAXIS, and FLAC; and
- Preparation of design drawings and specifications
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5- 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience with a focus on dam, levee, or related projects
- PE license
