Job Description
A stellar Technical Program Manager candidate for our backend development team is an accomplished leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale, cross-functional programs. Possessing a strategic mindset, they excel in defining program objectives, scoping deliverables, and aligning initiatives with overall business strategy. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are a must, as they adeptly coordinate efforts among diverse teams, manage risks effectively, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure transparent stakeholder communication.
Essential Functions:
- Take ownership of large-scale, cross-functional programs within the backend development teams, overseeing project execution from initiation to completion.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define program objectives, scope, and deliverables, aligning them with the broader business strategy.
- Coordinate efforts across various teams, including engineering, data science, sales, and customer support, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful and timely delivery of programs.
- Maintain a Gantt chart of all development activities and projects
- Efficiently allocate resources, manage ROI expectations, and track program progress against key milestones.
- Keep stakeholders informed about program status, milestones achieved, and any potential roadblocks, fostering transparency and alignment.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement rigorous testing protocols, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable solutions.
- Drive process improvements and innovation within the program management framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant technical or business field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, preferably in the affiliate marketing or performance marketing industry.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of affiliate marketing concepts and technologies preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in reviewing and interpreting Excel sheets data.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
