Billing Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Receiving and Sorting Incoming paperwork with attention to credibility
- Maintain incoming document materials in an organized fashion, as set forth by the department’s standards.
- Bill of Lading
- Proof of Delivery
- Accessorials (Lumper, Port/Gate Fees)
- Shipper Rates Confirmation(s) and Carrier Rate Confirmation(s)
- Email correspondence and other confirmation(s).
- Detailed data entry
- Build Positive rapport and communication with agents and carriers.
- Invoicing/Freight Bill issuance and uploads to Customer Portals
- Update load accounts with proper notations, control holds, and Customer Billing
- Particulars to maintain a thorough understanding of Customer amp; Carrier accounts.
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and best practices regarding dealing with customers' and carriers’ data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
- Experience managing Aging reports and backlog to the minimum outstanding number of accounts
- Monitors Assigned Aging buckets
- Manage unbilled accounts from weekly backlog generation.
- Experience in Transportation Billing and Proprietary software keys and queries
- Knowledge in Key Program tools
- Adobe PDF
- MS Office
- Outlook/Gmail
- TMS or Similar Transport Management System Software/Programs
- Web /Portal Navigation
- Result Driven and Teamwork Oriented values
Requirements
- Associate degree in accounting, Business, or Equivalent Experience in Billing
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Billing
- Attention to detail(s)
