Objective: As the Fleet Supervisor at Advocate Construction, your primary objective is to oversee cross-market Fleet Technicians and manage various fleet administrative duties to ensure company vehicles' efficient and timely operation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our fleet's functionality and performance.
Skill Requirements:
Must have been a full-time Fleet Technician at Advocate for at least 6 months.
Internal position only.
Must be able to meet company MVR and driving records requirements for operating a company or personal vehicle while conducting business.
Exceptional attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and confidently.
Strong time-management and multitasking abilities daily.
Regular operation of company-owned vehicles is required to conduct business; thus, a valid Class D driver’s License is mandatory.
Frequent contact with Sales and Production Departments via Slack and Zoom, as well as weekly contact with outside vendors.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate hand and power tools, vehicles and heavy equipment
Bodily mobility to walk, bend, stand, crouch, climb or drive for extended periods of time
Ability to operate assigned equipment and vehicles and perform heavy manual labor for extended periods
Ability to tolerate fluctuations in temperature while performing essential functions
Ability be able to lift 45 lbs on a consecutive basis
Requirements
Vehicle Allocation/Monitoring:
Identify fleet vehicles that need allocation to other markets.
Collaborate with Enterprise Transport to facilitate vehicle transfers between markets on a monthly basis.
Coordinate vehicle transport schedules with other markets (e.g., employees assisting in driving trucks from Chicago to Milwaukee) on a monthly basis.
Collaborate with the Fleet Manager and utilize Verizon Reveal (Telematics) for monitoring and scheduling future device installations, removals, and troubleshooting as needed, occasionally.
Regularly monitor vehicles and update the driver list accordingly on a weekly basis.
Administrative Duties:
Assist in managing all market Fleet Sheets on a daily basis.
Support Option B Driver Pin #s and Gas Cards administration on a monthly basis.
Update Google Drive Folders for Fleet Vehicles monthly.
Assist in handling fleet vehicle claim incidents on a weekly basis.
Collaborate with fleet managers to ensure all drivers are properly insured on a weekly basis.
Contribute to onboarding communication.
Other Duties:
Manage Fleet Technician schedules and day-to-day tasks and lead team calls daily.
Conduct interviews for Fleet Technicians and actively participate in hiring decisions.
