Unimacts is on the lookout for a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor to spearhead operations in our Las Vegas, Nevada facility. Your Mission: Leading Maintenance with Innovation and Efficiency

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be the driving force behind our maintenance programs and processes, ensuring optimal production through timely and effective methods. Your days will be filled with varied tasks including machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and delivering top-notch preventive maintenance services. Collaboration is key you'll work closely with other management staff to streamline preventative maintenance and bring new equipment online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Championing Safety and Environmental Standards: Ensure plant and equipment compliance, maintaining the highest safety procedures.
  • OSHA Compliance: Adhere rigorously to OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Enhancing Employee Relations: Provide coaching and development, make decisive employment choices, and adeptly resolve issues.
  • Advancing Preventative Maintenance: Develop and refine the Total Preventative Maintenance process for the Nevada plant.
  • Strategy and Management: Craft and oversee long-term goals and daily operations of the Maintenance Department.
  • Technical Leadership: Direct initiatives related to machinery, tooling, and plant infrastructure, and manage various technical projects.
  • Sub-Contract Management: Oversee maintenance sub-contracts, ensuring safe and compliant working practices.
  • Collaboration with Production: Work in tandem with the Production Supervisor to maximize machine uptime.
  • Spare Parts and Supplies Oversight: Monitor inventories and initiate reordering processes.
  • Downtime Management: Track and analyze machine downtime for proactive and reactive maintenance.
  • Policy Adherence: Uphold company policies and Unimacts' principles of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Team Leadership: Guide the Maintenance Team in a lean operations environment, fostering cross-functional teamwork.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of plant/equipment electrical, mechanical operations, and control systems.
  • Expertise in TPM, MTBF, MTTR and OEE programs.
  • Proven ability in corporate contract negotiations and cost-effective solutions.
  • Multi-tasking prowess and quick response capability in emergencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quality Management software, and excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a significant plus.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, minimizing disruptions in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of plant/general management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance, with a strong focus on predictive/preventive maintenance.
  • Five years in a managerial role, preferably with Steel Tube mill or Steel Industry experience.
  • Proven experience in CNC machining operations.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience is a plus.
  • PLC knowledge and programming skills are advantageous.
  • Manufacturing software experience and familiarity with quality control systems (ISO9001) are preferred.
