Job Description
Vision Point Systems, Inc. (VPS) is currently recruiting for a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to work on corrosion engineering projects to support the TACOM Corrosion Prevention and Control Program. Duties include laboratory and field test plan development; executing coatings, materials, and corrosion tests; field investigations and surveys; scientific data analysis and report writing; understanding military publications; and technical writing.
Requirements
-Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, or other aligned engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
-1-5 years of functional engineering experience (not just design).
-Must be able and willing to travel 25% of the time to both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Eligibility for a clearance requires US Citizenship.
-Demonstrated professional writing and presentations skills.
-Must collaborate and work well with multi-faceted teams.
-Must be solutions oriented.
-Must be able to think through complex problems
Desired Skills
-Experience in or supporting the U.S. Army is highly desired, but experience or knowledge with any military branch is advantageous.
-Technical experience in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or coatings.
-Knowledge of the basic components of automobiles.
-Experience with data analysis and statistics is a plus.
