Job Description

Responsible for scoping out projects, creating technical and business requirements, and then seeing the project through to completion. Must be hands-on and comfortable navigating through multiple platforms and systems to come up with solutions to business objectives. Will serve as the liaison between the business units, technical teams, and third-party vendors. This is a functional role and must have great communication skills, as well as strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills. Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a solid understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Create and maintain timelines and required documentation for each stage of projects.
  • Conduct internal and external meetings to discuss project progress and to ensure that objectives are understood and achieved, establishing team rapport.
  • Prepare for, lead, and/or participate in Requirements Gathering.
  • Confirm and detail scope and requirements for requests, working with internal and external teams to accurately quote time and budget.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the existing business processes and cross-department interactions.
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into informational documents and diagrams with purpose.
  • Elicit and document business requirements and visual models that communicate what must occur to realize the future state.
  • Analyze and recommend process improvements to determine best practices and makes recommendations to management on how to improve current practices and processes and solve issues related to business unit.
  • Contribute creative and innovative ideas; gather insights, facts, and data to enrich the planning and creative processes for the client and internal teams.
  • Participate in vendor selection or evaluation processes where applicable; including preparing RFI/RFP deliverables, coordinating demonstrations, coordinating feedback and results prepare resulting documentation, etc.
  • Act as primary point of contact for the project team during development to clarify business requirements, resolve issues, and make recommendations as needed where business impacts may arise.
  • Manage release notes for all business-critical software applications.
  • Support user acceptance testing, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience working as a Project Manager.
  • PMP certification, preferred.
  • Extensive Citrix experience required.
  • Experience working with NetDocuments, TABS3, MS Access database, RingCentral, a plus.
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • An ability to take complex issues or technologies and frame them simply for internal and external audiences.
  • A desire to help grow a foundational department as a true team player.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, phone, and presentation skills.
  • Stress-tolerant, quick thinking, accurate, and calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize, evaluate, and brainstorm solutions to encountered issues.
