Job Description

World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) is looking for a Data amp; Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our Data team. The incumbent will help develop the cross-functional analytics platform and will support the growth of our data infrastructure. The primary focus will be on building well-managed data solutions to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers, visualizing metrics and KPIs, and supporting data quality management efforts.

The Data amp; BI Analyst will report directly to the Data and Visualization Sr. Manager and will collaborate with team members from all WCK programs, but mainly with the Relief Operations team,to identify new BI solutions and continuously improve the existing ones.

This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the flexibility to work across various time zones, and an ability to travel globally for relief activities when required. This position is designed to be hybrid, based in Washington DC. international travel will be required occasionally as needed to provide on-site support for field teams during relief operations.

Key Duties amp; Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and validate enterprise-grade data to deliver insights that support program evaluations and operations.
  • Design and construct metrics and dashboards to fulfill analytics requests, insights and data visualization projects.
  • Be able to support data engineering activities to create and/or improve current data enrichment and refinement pipelines.
  • Empower users with self-service capabilities for routine queries, promoting recurring analytics and broader data accessibility.
  • Conduct data quality assessments, provide support for ETL/ELT processes, and monitor job performance for continuous product enhancement.
  • Actively implement and advocate for data management best practices throughout the organization.
  • Collect and maintain product requirements and technical documentation spanning various cross-functional domains.
  • Oversee product management and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for building new analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Deploy as needed to a Disaster/Emergency area to support Relief Operations in the field.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Analytics and Business Intelligence, utilizing BI visualization tools/reporting suites such as Tableau, Data Studio, PowerBI, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data manipulation languages and platforms, including SQL and Google Analytics.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of data reporting structures, specifically OLAP.
  • Exhibit proficiency in interacting with various database and file storage systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical concepts and techniques including analysis and reporting.
  • Display familiarity with general administration tasks such as job troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and quality assurance.
  • Attention to details and organization of technical and data management documentation.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional team structure.
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to disaster and emergency areas as needed.
  • Valid passport.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid US employment authorization.
  • Capable of standing or walking for extended periods of time.

Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated knowledge of software languages and API development and integration, familiarity with GCP technologies and the common cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, AWS), prior experience in humanitarian settings, and proficiency in Spanish or other languages.
