Job Description
The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) has 24/7 department responsibilities for assisting in program development and coordinating delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy. The DCS assists in the department through interaction with other departments, various professional healthcare disciplines, and external organizations. The DCS reviews treatment documentation to assure quality and appropriateness of care, compliance with internal and external policies, and proper transfer and assure quality and appropriateness of care, compliance with internal and external policies, and proper transfer and disposition of patients with families and other agencies. The DCS interprets policy and assists in making necessary decisions to improvement efforts, while assisting Managers, Supervisors and Unit Leads with the supervision of the staff assigned to departments. Social Work Supervisor reports to DCS as well.
Requirements
Minimum Education
Masters in Social Work degree preferred. Must be qualified by education and experience in the social service needs of those with behavioral health needs.
Minimum Work Experience
Experience in inpatient setting preferred; skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice. Knowledge of acute psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology; familiarity with follow-up resource service available; skills in conducting marital and family group therapy. Knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, All State and Federal regulatory requirements.
Required Licenses
Current LCSW, LMFT, PsyD or relevant PH.D. in the state of California preferred.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
