Machinist II

Job Description
The Machinist II performs a variety of machining operations on multiple materials, including ceramics and metals, such as HAAS CNC grinding, coring, surface grinder, Wire/Hole EDM, Lathes, Mills, etc., working to very close tolerances in assigned area. The individual will perform complex set ups and troubleshoot machine issues and create programs for a variety of CNC Machines using industry standard CAD/CAM software with the ability to understand and edit G-Code. The individual will condition tools to maintain precision cutting requirements, and check quality of work using a wide variety of precision measuring devices. The individual will perform basic autonomous maintenance (fluid levels, machine cleanout, etc) and utilize automated equipment (CMM/Vision/Industrial robot) when required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Technical/trade school degree or certificate in machining is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience minimum of one year is required.
- Experience with micrometers and calipers.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to understand and edit G-Code.
