Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer II you will be responsible for all IT infrastructure planning, coordination, implementation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance support functions. This includes various enterprise, customer, cross-functional team, applications, servers, and network-related systems. Your role is a pivotal technology position with wide-ranging responsibilities and direct impacts across the company’s internal and customer systems.

Requirements

  • Creating and maintaining highly available, reliable, scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Identifying customer needs and providing excellent technical support service.
  • Implementing and supporting enterprise networking. Familiarity with Arista enterprise-grade network switches and wireless access points is highly desired.
  • Firewalls and network segmentation. Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks is highly desired.
  • Experience supporting public and private wireless solutions.
  • Support of VoIP and Telephony solutions, a plus.
  • Active Directory, GPOs, Windows 2012R2 - 2022, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Centralized storage technologies. Familiarity with Ceph open source distributed storage is a plus.
  • ProxMox Virtualization
  • Integrating with cloud computing platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Cloud-based mail and productivity solutions Microsoft 365.
  • Implementing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Experience with performance tuning, monitoring systems, and statistics/metrics collection.

Requirements:

  • AA degree in either CS/IT fields;
  • 5 years relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Solid understanding of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security/authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP/IP;
  • Thorough understanding of enterprise firewall function and application;
  • Microsoft and Linux experience;
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash and other scripting languages;
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems;
  • Knowledge of Azure/Office 365 cloud services;
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and services including network stack, security appliances, VOIP, Active Directory and mail servers.

PreferredRequirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related technical field;
  • Industry experience;
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense security requirements and IAVM patching procedures;
  • Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE

Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000 - $181,000.
