The Position

We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to manage the flow of materials from suppliers and customers required to support production. You will be accountable for obtaining optimum productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and economy of operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel. You will be directly responsible for shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory accuracy. You will be responsible for the management of 8-10 employees.

The Location

We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This is an onsite position.

  • Coordinates inbound domestic and international logistics operations, such as receiving, and warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management.
  • Promote safety as a core value to the organization.
  • Work with scheduling on issues with materials and their status.
  • Work with Supply Chain on scheduling of raw materials.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations including bar code scanning experience.
  • Work with finance on receivables.
  • Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy.
  • Ensure timely offloading and receipt of raw materials.
  • Managing day-to-day warehouse operations to include receiving, line staging and inventory control. Responsible for the staging of materials needed in production.
  • Manage transfer of material between various Alene warehouses.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing, training, and evaluation of departmental personnel insuring skill levels to meet the needs of the business in the most efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicate with the Logistics Team to support the pulling/staging of finished goods for customer orders.
  • Will collect data, maintain metrics, monitor trends, report to manager on weekly basis.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations including bar code scanning experience.
  • Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote safety as a core value to the organization.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in a variety of formats is a requirement.

  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment; 3-5 years of this experience should be in a leadership or management role.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with WMS and ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be able to identify all items and count accurately using various methods of calculation.
  • Knowledge of the products manufactured in the factory.
  • Ability to understand quality control methods.
  • Able to follow and execute instructions.
  • Ability to lead small groups to meet logistics goals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, and quick and alert.
  • Ability to lead small groups to meet production goals.
  • Must be a self-motivated worker.
  • Ability to prioritize work and use time efficiently.
  • Ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines.
  • Strong Organizational and Communication Skills
  • Must be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
