Job Description

Stemson Therapeutics Corp, a pioneering cell therapy startup, is seeking a Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist to join our dynamic research and development team. Our mission is to revolutionize hair follicle restoration using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in cell culture. As a Senior Research Associate, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the differentiation and culture of hair-follicle-producing cells and utilize a diverse range of analytical and biochemical techniques for cell product analysis.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct human iPSC and primary cell culture, including cell differentiations, cell line maintenance (cell expansion and freezing), and large-scale cell preparation for various assays

- Employ molecular biology techniques (qPCR, immunocytochemistry) and microscopy to characterize cells and analyze data sets

- Detailed record keeping in physical and electronic laboratory notebook

- Perform routine laboratory tasks, including reagent preparation, solution aliquoting, equipment maintenance, and supply management

- Foster productive and collaborative interactions with project team members

- Occasionally work on weekends and evenings for cell culture on rotation with colleagues

Required Skills and Experience

- 3-5 years of mammalian cell culture experience in an industry role (biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO), or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- Strong expertise in mammalian cell culture, across a variety of plate and flask formats

- Exceptional attention to detail, aseptic technique, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills

- The ability to think independently and critically

- The ability to design studies with input from manager

- Ability to work independently, execute multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively

- Effective verbal amp; written communication skills

- Capability to multitask and excel in a small, fast-paced environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude

- Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Skills and Experience

- Background in stem cell biology and/or epithelial biology

- Experience with human and/or animal iPSC, skin-derived cells, including fibroblasts and keratinocytes.

- Proficient in cell analysis techniques such as microscopy, flow cytometry, amp; qPCR

- Experience interpreting differential expression and pathway analyses as they pertain to bulk and scRNASeq
