Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with experience in bookkeeping and Quickbooks? Solar Alternatives, a leading energy independence firm, is seeking a Bookkeeper with experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll to join our team.
At Solar Alternatives, we are passionate about providing comprehensive energy solutions to our clients and making a positive impact on the environment. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in our accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of employee wages, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial and operational issues
- Provide support during audits and tax filings
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software and MS Office Suite
- Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
Benefits
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Salary starts at $18-20/hr based on qualifications. Benefits include majority-paid medical, dental, vision and matching 401K program. Earned paid time off starts at two weeks annually.
