As part of the Product Realization process, the Senior Design Engineer plays a key role in bringing the next generation of products through the design and release process to a successful manufacturing launch. The Senior Design Engineer will fill a key role in ensuring that new products meet the cost and manufacturability goals and are released in accordance with published milestones.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
- Review of customer inquiries and creating of technical proposals and solutions that address customer need.
- Design of new products based on customer specifications.
- Performing trade studies on components used in designs.
- Interfacing with customers during the product realization process.
- Generation of circuit and FEM models that verify performance of the design against the design inputs.
- Generation and review of documentation for design reviews in accordance with Micross design procedures.
- Overall management and responsibility of the new product project.
- Development of design validation testing to ensure that the product meets its intended end use.
- Test of final products and DVT reports.
- Mentoring of junior level staff in RF design concepts
- Additional responsibilities may also be invoked as needed to support the needs of the business.
Requirements
Education amp; Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF microelectronic circuit design and fabrication is required.
- Experience in set up, calibration, and measurement of microwave circuits is required.
- Proficiency in design simulation and optimization using Microwave Office (or equivalent) is required. Experience with FEM tools is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills are a must. The candidate should be able to approach and solve problems using first principles, even if the answer is not known.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office suite and AutoCAD, is required.
- Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.
- Experience with MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-38534, and MIL-PRF-38535 is highly beneficial.
- This is an on-site position. Must be available to work at the 900 Mount Laurel Circle, Shirley, MA location (remote work/telecommuting arrangements and relocation assistance are both unavailable).
