ORGANIZATION

Value Schools opened its first school in 2002 and now operates four charter schools authorized by the Los Angeles Unified School District: Downtown Value School and Everest Value School (serving K-8th Grade), along with Central City Value High School and University Prep Value High School (serving 9th-12th Grade).

The Value Schools mission is to establish and support high quality, values based elementary and secondary charter schools for populations of students who have been historically underserved by the public school system.

We have high expectations for our students and we do everything we can to ensure our students reach these expectations. The importance of the five core values cannot be overstated.

  • Academic excellence is the means to a full life;
  • Each student can develop to their fullest potential;
  • Each individual is unique and deserves respect;
  • A safe, nurturing community is essential to academic excellence;
  • Service to others and the community is a responsibility of an educated person.
