About the Role
We are looking for a self-motivated and creative Public Relations Manager to join our marketing team. This supports media relations initiatives, marketing communications campaigns and programs in support of Salary.com’s industry-leading product and solution portfolio, driving positive media coverage and increased market awareness for the company.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing strategic media coverage across a wide variety of media outlets. They must be a skilled writer capable of delivering press releases, media pitches, bylined articles, speaking abstracts, award submissions and more with an eye for what will drive results.
A Day in the Life
·In this role you will be responsible for executing storytelling efforts and developing compelling editorial content that showcases how Salary.com helps companies get pay right
· Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, you will use your interpersonal skills and media relations know-how to help drive the success of the Marketing team
·Secure ongoing media opportunities for our talented subject matter experts
·Partner with key executives to grow their external profiles
·Draft and/or copy-edit press releases, corporate announcements, contributed content, etc.
·Develop relationships with key influencers in the HR/workplace trends space
·Filter and respond to inbound requests to the PR email address
· Prepare weekly emails for broader team members on the latest HR/compensation/business news trends, as well as recent coverage about Salary.com
·Work with marketing colleagues to ensure PR initiatives get visibility with our customer and prospect base, including social media, email and website
·Monitor competitor PR activity and industry news
·Manage news monitoring and measurement reporting for key initiatives and launches
