Herker Industries has CNC Set-up Operator positions available for experienced, dependable, and reliable team members. You'll setup and operate CNC Lathe and Mills in best-in-class machine shop! Join for on-the-job training and great benefits.
DescriptionOur CNC Setup machinists will set up and operate CNC Mills to produce precision machined metal parts. Herker Industries has best-in-class facilities and technologies supporting a wide range of valued customers. Our current work will be on Mazak and Mori lathes and Mori horizontal machining centers. We are a contract machine shop.
Pay will be Dependent on Skills and Experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read and/or complete machine set-up sheet.
- Set-up machine to be used for production.
- Assist with quality control plan details.
- Follow 1st piece inspection procedure.
- Acquire parts to be machined.
- Read blueprint, job order and tooling instructions for production requirements.
- Machine parts to required specifications.
- Inspect machined pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
- Move parts to designated areas.
- Replace worn tooling as needed.
- Remove and return tooling when job is complete.
- Suggest machining methods to improve job efficiency.
- Work within OSHA and ISO standards.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance duties.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties.
HOURS (4-day Work Weeks!)
- 1st Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of related experience.
- Micrometer (optional)
- Blueprint Reading (optional)
- CNC Set-Up Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (optional)
