Job Description

Solid Sealing Technology (SST) designs and manufactures small-scale electrical components used around the world. Our parts are found in many types of industrial, medical, and research facilities, and you will work with technologies used on equipment like energy storage systems, MRI machines, and particle accelerators. We have even sent parts to Mars! NASA'sMars Insight Missionuses components made right here in Watervliet, NY.

Position Summary:

This role focuses on satisfying customer demand by assisting with managing schedules and coordinating the efficient manufacture of components and/or services. Evaluates and revises production plans and provides appropriate delivery dates as required; adjusts capacity plans accordingly. Works with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews incoming customer demand, forecasts, and trends; translates into production plans. Involved in sales order review production planning process.
  • Utilizes ERP system to deploy scheduling techniques to satisfy all production and secondary activities. Verifies for accuracy.
  • Schedules demand based on product mix and provides accurate commitment dates to customer interfacing team members across all product lines.
  • Coordinates and communicates information across all levels of the organization as applicable, including with production supervisor, and production-focus departments; sales, engineering, accounting, purchasing, etc.
  • Manages level loading, bottleneck scheduling, and review of constraints for more accurate scheduling.
  • Understands capacity management relationship to ERP/MRP; determines available capacity before planned orders are released.
  • Provides purchasing support for standard products and high-volume continuous build key account products.
  • Coordinates delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and internal safety regulations and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in production and/or knowledge of planning and scheduling processes.
  • Experience in supply chain management or procurement a plus.
  • Manufacturing Processes understanding of relationships between raw materials, materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products/services.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Capable of utilizing spreadsheet and ERP/MRP type software in managing the planning process.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; ability to consider and process complex data.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Solid, proven organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with computerized ERP or MRP systems.

Annualized Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
