Location: Must be in California: Prefer San Francisco or Los Angeles

Compensation: $67,000 to $72,000

Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to those transitioning from or at risk of homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Additionally, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veteran services, and healthcare sectors.

Position Summary

The Policy Analyst leads the development of policies and procedures for the NorCal Housing Platform programs. Willworkwithin the Housing Platform Management Team to draft policies and procedures and project manage the policy and procedure development process. Will participatein high-level program design and policy meetings both internally and externally. Will regularly collaboratewith Brilliant Corners’ legal counsel andworkunder the direction of the NorCal Housing Services Director. The Policy Analyst supports the Brilliant Corners Housing Services Team to develop the Brilliant Corners approach further. Given the opportunity for professional growth, the position is ideal for a self-starter interested in program design and committed to social justice.

Requirements

Professional Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but relevant professional experience can be substituted.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Superior writing skills with a preference for technical writing expertise (i.e., creating policies and procedures and similar documents).
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and planning skills.
  • Ability to take direction and feedback from multiple stakeholders and exercise good judgment to move work forward.
  • Exceptionally good at collecting and synthesizing large amounts of information into a cohesive, concise work product.
  • Can manage multiple deadlines efficiently and simultaneously.
  • Solid team leader who can work well collaboratively on projects and under pressure.
  • High dedication to internal and external stakeholders; able to engage with leadership from funding agencies.
  • Ability to refine systems and processes with an eye towards the big picture.
  • Basic computer knowledge, MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making and sound independent judgment.

Writing Samples
