What would you do as a Imaging Aide?

The Imaging Clerk is responsible for clerical tasks that support the radiology process in a manner that places emphasis on quality patient care. You can expect to regularly:

  • Answer the x-ray department's phone and responds to and processes information requests;
  • Performs routine clerical and support functions under the direction of the Imaging Manager to ensure smooth and effective day-to-day operations;
  • Maintains patient records in an electronic format by moving, copying, and deleting under the direction of the Imaging Manager in the picture archiving and communication system (PACS);
  • Performs quality control review on imported record images and verifies accurate indexing of medical record documents;
  • Utilizes the cloud-based imaging sharing system for incoming and outgoing image sharing for referring physicians;
  • Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of all office supplies and materials for the department;
  • Use electronic medical records and imaging systems;
  • Remove a splint or cast from a patient if needed;
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to ensure imaging department patient schedules are achieved;
  • Communicate with your team for breaks and lunches;
  • Provide customer service, maintain confidentiality, and abide by HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • Certifications/Education
    • High School Diploma/GED;
  • Knowledge of
    • Customer Service principles and practices;
  • Experience;
    • Using computer systems and applications, including entering data and typing;

Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?

  • Experience in a related position within a hospital or clinic setting

This position operates in a clinical office environment.

Physical: The noise level is usually moderate.

Schedule: Saturday hours may be required depending on managerial discretion.
